Why a Prosthodontist
Advanced training for treatment that requires a broader view.
Prosthodontics is the dental specialty devoted to restoring and replacing teeth, particularly when treatment is esthetically or technically complex. Dr. Shay evaluates the entire clinical picture before recommending treatment, including facial relationships, tooth position, existing dentistry, restorative materials, comfort and function, and how the result can be maintained over time.
See the Whole Case
Diagnosis begins with the relationship between the face, teeth, existing restorations, and functional concerns, not with a single procedure.
Design Before Treating
Photography, diagnostic records, digital planning, wax-ups, mock-ups, or provisional restorations may be used when they help clarify the plan.
Plan for Longevity
Material selection, conservative preparation, specialist coordination, and long-term maintenance are considered from the beginning.

In Her Words
Thoughtful treatment begins with listening.
“Before I recommend treatment, I want to understand what concerns you, what has brought you to this point, and what you hope will feel different. My responsibility is to look beyond an individual tooth and develop a plan that respects your health, your appearance, your comfort, and the time and trust you are placing in my care.”
Dr. Mojdeh Shayestehfar

- Preserve natural tooth structure whenever possible
- Use provisionals to evaluate important decisions
