Accessibility
Care should be reachable for every patient.
If something about our office or this website makes it harder for you to get the care you need, we want to know, and we will work with you to make it right.
Call or text (310) 305-4644, or tell us at the front desk.
Our commitment
Linden Dental Care welcomes patients with disabilities and is committed to communicating effectively with everyone we treat. Accommodations are arranged at no cost to you, and asking for one will never affect the care you receive or what you are charged.
If you are deaf or hard of hearing
We provide auxiliary aids and services so that you can take part in your own care, including consultations, treatment planning, and informed consent. Depending on what is being discussed and what works best for you, that may include:
- A qualified sign language interpreter, arranged and paid for by the practice
- Real-time captioning
- Written notes and printed treatment information for shorter exchanges
- Extra appointment time so nothing has to be rushed
You are never expected to bring your own interpreter, to rely on a family member or friend to interpret, or to pay for these services yourself. We do not ask children to interpret.
How to request an interpreter. Let us know when you schedule, or any time before your visit, by calling or texting (310) 305-4644. Interpreters are booked through an outside agency, so as much notice as you can give helps us secure the right person. If your visit is sooner than that allows, call us anyway and we will find a workable arrangement.
Relay calls are welcome. Our team accepts calls placed through 711 telecommunications relay and through video relay services, and treats them exactly like any other call. You are also welcome to text the office directly at (310) 305-4644 during office hours, or to use the consultation request form and ask us to follow up in writing.
During your visit. Tell us what helps. Some patients prefer that we lower the chair and face them directly when speaking, remove a mask when it is safe to do so, write down anything clinical, or pause and confirm before continuing. Dr. Shay would rather take the extra minute than have you leave unsure of anything.
If you are blind or have low vision
Tell us what format works for you. We can print treatment plans, consent forms, and instructions in large print, read anything aloud and go through it with you before you sign, or email documents so you can use your own screen reader or magnifier. We can also set aside extra time so nothing has to be rushed. There is no cost for any of this. If you need a format we do not keep on hand, call or text (310) 305-4644 and we will look into what can be arranged.
Service animals
Service animals are welcome in the office, including in the treatment room. You do not need to bring documentation, and there is no fee. It helps to tell us when you schedule so we can plan the room and, if you prefer, keep our own therapy dogs away from your visit.
Getting into the office
We are in Suite 246 at 462 N Linden Dr, Suite 246, Beverly Hills, CA 90212. It is a medical building with elevator access to our floor, accessible parking, and accessible restrooms. If you would like to know more about the route before you come, call or text (310) 305-4644. We are glad to walk you through it, or to meet you at the door.
Other accommodations
If something else would make your visit easier, please ask. Patients commonly request written treatment plans to take home, a companion in the room, additional time, or a quieter appointment slot. Softie and Parker, our therapy dogs, are available by request for patients who find them calming, and dog-free visits are always available.
This website
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, and we treat accessibility as ongoing work rather than a finished task. The site is built to be navigable by keyboard and readable by screen readers, with text alternatives for images and a skip link to the main content.
Parts of the site rely on services we do not control, such as the embedded map. If you have trouble with any of it, the information is always available by phone, and we are glad to read it to you or send it in another format.
Telling us about a barrier
If you run into a problem on this website or in our office, call or text (310) 305-4644, or speak with anyone at the front desk. It helps if you can tell us the page or the part of the visit involved and what you were trying to do. We take these reports seriously and aim to respond within three business days.
